A Turret cigarette advertisement on the side of the Deli Pat Depanneur in NDG. (Circa 1950?)

When I was in high school, that was Legends comic book store.
It's probably around the same age as the Old Chum ad on Masson Street. They were done by the same ad firm.
For decades the ad wasn't visible. After a fire, the building blocking it came down.
I was disappointed that it finally got tagged. It was uncovered in the spring of 2008 and remained untouched until fairly recently.

If I remember correctly, Turret sold for less than the regular brands of the day. Black Cat, Winchester, Players sold for more. Turret was a lower priced brand.
This is really wicked!

A shame some idiot kid had to tag it.
