Re: The Executive committee...

The Executive Comittee, with it's mayor appointed members, is probably the most powerful municipal structure in the city.

It's insane that the Executive Comittee meets exclusively in private.

On top of proposing a coalition EC, Projet has pledged to open EC sessions to the public:

Very informative and much appreciated.

 after seeing my candidates I see I am forced to vote for Dumb or Dumber. I just hope they ALL stop stealing from the population with their corrupt contracts and Harperism

Here in Peter McGill we have the privilege of having Independent city councillor Mr. Karim Boulos seeking a second mandate today (November 1st). Our district has been well served over the past 4 years. He has worked very closely with family associations as well as merchant associations. I would encourage everyone to visit his website ;
www.karimboulos.ca . He is a politician that truly cares for his constituents. He is a man of integrity which has proven to be quite rare nowadays.

Due to BILL 22 the Mayor of Montreal will now become our borough mayor. It is imperative that we continue to have STRONG local representation with Mr. Karim Boulos (Independent. Local issues/matters need a watchdog at City Hall in order to avoid the continued mismanagement that we have all witnessed and heard over the past year in the media.

Please remember to vote ! Your vote matters.

hi alannah,

thanks for the post. very nice, and clears up some fuzziness that existed in terms of division of duties. the one thing i that i disagree on, however, is the whole "vote for the person, not the party". i understand the idea, and i know there are strong candidates in each party...but there is no way i could vote for at least one of the parties, and the other one i'd rather not vote for seems more marked by big names rather than "vision"...if you get my drift.

maybe it's like the buying songs vs. the whole album thing...another tendency that doesn't quite jive for me. i appreciate artists (and politic parties) that actually have a cohesive and well-thought out plan...rather than just a hodge-podge of mildly interesting tidbits.

thanks again for the great work!
