Voici une rare photo représentant la maison Van Horne sur la rue Sherbrooke. Celle-ci fut démolie en 1973 et remplacée par une tour à bureaux de 17 étages, maintenant occupée depuis 2003 par l'hôtel Sofitel.

Le Cartier is pretty incredible looking on its own without that awful Azrielli building.
I don't remember much details but there was a hell of an uproar over this demolition. Drapeau era, protesting meant nothing, sort of like it still is today.
