Montrealers’ fourth-favourite blog

The results of the Mirror's annual popularity contest are in and Montrealers have voted Spacing Montreal as the fourth-best blog in Montreal. We were bested by Midnight Poutine, the Montreal City Weblog and Pregnant Goldfish (a street style blog). All I can say is that they deserve their spots on the list. Thanks, Montreal.

On a related note, I always enjoy reading the Best of Montreal, even though many of its results are the same from one year to the next and even if the whole thing is essentially an advertising grab. It's entertaining, at the very least, and it's also a good way to gauge what is currently in fashion among young anglophone Montrealers. (And I do mean anglophone --- there is often a striking difference between the BOM's results and those of its French counterpart, the Top d'ICI.)

I like spacingmontreal.ca a lot better than the other blogs. I have a question about the "Best Montreal Weirdo" category. What is the name of the guy who dances with Spiderman? I see him everywhere. Isn't he featured in the poll?

I know exactly who you mean. I think he would be on the list if anyone knew his name.

I actually wrote about him back in September:

Thanks! I thought I was the only one who had noticed his omnipresence! I will comment here if I find out his name :), and if he allows me to post it of course :P
