Marching on climate change

Saturday is the Global Day of Action Against Climate change. A demonstration starts at 2:30 p.m. from Dorchester Square and will move through downtown to Place des Arts. Demos are taking place in 30 other cities in Canada and 70 countries around the world.

South Shore dwellers might be interested in another intervention taking place in Brossard earlier that afternoon. From 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, the Youth Climate Action Committee will stage a rally in support of the Bali talks on climate change at the corner of Taschereau and Lapinière, in front of the Champlain Mall.
