My mural, ive found you!

That is so cool! How did you find it?

This mural was painted in conjunction with a street fair that happened this summer that i had the opportunity to organise with the Éco-Quartier Peter McGill. The artist, Jeannette is actually (stuck) in Japan, having moved there to work for a company that is now bankrupt!

She should be here painting murals full-time, if only business and building owners in Montreal had a little more appreciation for this type of art. This is actually the only mural that actually came of a mural programme that i ran this summer. And the only reason this ended up getting done is that we were able to get enough money from renting the tables for the September 1st event.

Unfortunately people don't believe they should pay for art. Jeannette Langmead (the artist) went to school to study art, and she has debts similar to anybody else (whether they chose to study environment, sociology or marketing).

I know you appreciate it, Cédric... as you took this amazing photo. If you want to check out another oeuvre by Jeannette (now partly destroyed by tags) check out the wall facing south just below Sainte-Catherine on Crescent street.
